Lower Earley Cricket Club

About us

LECC is a mid-Berkshire side (near Wokingham) that plays Sunday friendly and occasional competitive fixtures (formerly in the Millennium Sunday League).

New Players Always Welcome

Batsman, bowler, fielder or maybe wicket keeper? LECC is always actively looking for new players. Whatever your experience, age or ability, everyone is welcome to play! CONTACT: committee@lowerearleycc.org.uk

Recent Events

Due to the pandemic, the club committee held an interim (Zoom) meeting in place of a formal 2020 AGM on April 7th. More information to follow.

2021 Fixture Information

A number of matches have been confirmed for the 2021 season, please click on the "Fixtures" link above for specific details.

2021 Club Tour (Alternative plans)

Instead of a club tour this year, we are exploring alternatives for some kind of summer sporting & social activity (perhaps an international match combined with a beach visit). This depends on how the COVID restrictions pan out. If you are interested, please watch out for further information to follow (Sat. 24th July is being considered as an option)

Former player news

Sadly, we learned in 2019 of the deaths of two former LECC legends, including our Club President of many years, John Dykes, who died on June 24, and former spinning ace, Murray Mackenzie, on July 16. Both John and Murray played a considerable part in making LECC the warm and friendly but competitive club it is today.

Contact Information

Please advise Julianne as soon as possible of any changes in your contact information (particularly email addresses) so she can then keep the Club email distribution list updated.
